RIP -- College Basketball Tweet of the Day

I knew the CBSSports.com College Basketball Tweet of the Day was in trouble when I started hearing about coaches calling players into their offices and telling them to be careful. The message was to avoid anything controversial or stupid, and some players even went so far as to "lock" their accounts to prevent the outside world from reading their 140-character thoughts.

Consequently, I'm bored with it.

So I've decided to end the Tweet of the Day.

(Please pause for a moment of silence)

Naturally, I'll still pass along anything outrageous -- like a Tweet from Memphis forward Will Coleman this weekend that read (in part): "Jerome Jordan get shut down when he see Memphis. Coleman ain't havin it." That was a fun one, and it adds a storyline to the Feb. 13 game between Memphis and Tulsa. But more times than not, the Tweets are lame (except those from Kim English , Mark Titus and Connor Nolte ), which is why I'm ready to move on and bring back a daily dose of Dear Gary .

So you send the questions to gparrish@cbs.com, and I'll answer one each day.

And nothing is out of bounds.

Want to know what I think of Syracuse?

Just ask.

Want to know why "Californication" is better than "Entourage"?

Just ask.

Want to know why I'm a 32-year-old with a stupid haircut?

Just ask.

I'm here for you.

We'll start tomorrow.

About Parrish: The Thoughts
