Former Michigan State guard Chris Allen arrived at Iowa State on Monday to conduct a visit as he prepares to enroll at a new school, a source told CBSSports.com.
Allen was removed from the Spartans last week after he "failed to meet all obligations" necessary to be a member of the team. The 6-foot-3 guard from Georgia averaged 8.3 points at Michigan State last season. If he enrolls at a Division I institution, Allen will sit out this season per NCAA transfer rules and play one season at his new school in 2011-12.
Allen is also considering South Florida, Baylor and a number of other schools.

Source: Former Spartan Allen visiting Iowa StatePerfect example of not knowing how good these kids have it. He seems like he took things for granted at MSU. Truth hurts now when he has to go from a constant NCAA contender to a bottom half "Big X" team.
