Louisville sophomore Samardo Samuels will hire an agent and remain in the NBA Draft, a source confirmed to CBSSports.com on Tuesday.

The news was first reported by ESPN.com's Pat Forde.

Samuels will be selected in the second round, at best.

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 15.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this season.

In related news, West Virginia's Devin Ebanks and Texas' Avery Bradley have decided to hire agents and remain in the draft, as expected. Both are likely first-round picks. Ebanks, a sophomore forward, averaged 11.8 points and 8.2 rebounds this season. Bradley, a freshman guard, averaged 11.6 points this season.

Teague has to sign before sUcK fans run their traps about stealing him away from us.  Keep in mind that he has another 5 months or so before he must sign, while the NBA is hot on the trail of PayPalCal.  I'll give him another month to live in Lexington before he is packing his bags to The Windy City.  Who can blame him though?  He's a natural long term investor.  Oh wait a minute.  My fault, those people usually have success.  Cals record is empty w/no Final Four, no Championship, and I'm pretty sure his Elite Eight and 30 wins from this past season will be disappearing before to long.  The fall of an empire is going to happen the only variable is time

Famous last words, "I love it here. I want to be here in Memphis." What is the all-star squad going to do when he goes to Chicago?

You are an idiot.  Now as much as I find the next 5 minutes of my time to be a total waste I guess I'll explain why, as if it isn't obvious.  Pitino didn't rape her.  Lets act like big boys and girls and realize that things happen consentually.  A basketball coach doesn't have to rape a 50 year old tramp who is trying to look like she's 20.  The fact that he's Rick Pitino sort of throws the whole desperation thing out.  Face it, if a person is famous there is someone willing to have sex with them.  What do you think she got in trouble with the FBI for?  Umm, lying perhaps.  I wonder if that might be habitual.  She will go to jail and CRP will be on the Louisville bench which leads me to reason number two that you are an "idiot."  This team, while it is a very young squad, will be extremely deep.  This will probably be the second deepest team Pitino has had at Louisville.  Obviously behind the could of, should of, would of been National Champs with T-Will and Co.  Nearly have of the team will be frontcourt players, those being Terrence Jennings, Gorgui Dieng, Jared Swopshire, Rakeem Buckles, Steven Van Treese, and maybe George Goode.  Possible 1, 2, and 3 spots are Peyton Siva, Preston Knowles, Mike Marra, Kyle Kuric, Chris Smith, Russell Smith, Elisha Justice, Justin Coleman (if he's eligible which I expect him to be).  While these players don't have alot of experience to offer, everyone of them has shown flashes of potential.  Unlike PayPalCal just to the East of us, Rick Pitino has actually developed players and prepared them for life, both on and off the court.  Louisville probably won't be hoisting a trophy in mid-April but to say a team with as much depth as this one has to offer will only win 10 games is absolutely obsurd.

So with your eight or nine players on scholarship, not one of them with experience or proven ability to play at the college level, and no big men at all, you want to talk? Calipari bought one of the most talented freshmen class in history, instilled no discipline at all, turned UK into the whore of the NCAA in which players use them to get to the NBA and care nothing for them. He had this talent and choked worse than any choke possibly in history. Why? Because he CAN'T coach. He cheats to recruit, as Marquis Teague clearly admitted through Facebook. And now he has hardly any talent, and the talent he does have has no experience and 1/50th the talent of the '09 class. You all will be worse than UNC last year. I can't wait to watch your team get the crap kicked out of them and miss the tourney. That will all seem light when you get probation slapped on you right after Calipari leaves for the NBA. UofL will beat your a$$ next year and there is not a thing you can do about it. In our new state of the art arena, Calipari will be Pitino's b*tch once again as he has been throughout his entire career. But hey, congrats on your shady recruiting success. Just a shame your "coach" cant coach like he cheats and will continue to choke like the failure at life he is.

as a ul fan i have never thought samuels was that good. he cant get off the ground and he was too lazy on defense so it doesnt bother me that he is leaving. I look forward to incoming freshmen Justin Coleman and Gorgui Dieng to make a big impression. And dont forget we return a lot of talent and an actual point guard thanks to the long awaited departure of Edgar the Dumbass. So i dont think we will be as bad as people are saying already. I look for an average season where we are on the bubble once again and hopefully on the inside.

Mark it in your book.  UofL won't finish in the top 8 of the Big East and won't make the NCAA tournament.Mark it down. UK will be facing NCAA sanctions in two years. I can make lousy assumptions too. Actually, my assumptions have some merit (ala UMass and Memphis).

Mark it in your book.  UofL won't finish in the top 8 of the Big East and won't make the NCAA tournament.  And, the 2011 class that Pitino was supposedly bringing in that was supposed to be "untouchable" has imploded with the loss of Teague to "that team east of Louisville."

HA HA I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Good job Ricky Porcini

True. In conference play. Especially if you have a pre-season schedule like Kentucky did this past season.

UL hardly looks dismal.  Jennings will be a good starting center, unlike Samuels (who is a natural 4) Jennings will be playing his natural position.  With 6 guys 6'9 and over, UL has not only size, but experience as well.  And there is a school to the east that has neither.
