Elton Brand is a former Duke Blue Devil who puts up great numbers (I believe his career average is ~20 ppg and ~10 rpg). The injuries over the past two seasons may make not as "useful" as he was, but he is solid player.  Luol Deng is a solid starter for Chicago.  J.J. Redick will be getting more consistent minutes with Orlando this year, and he will prove to be useful.  It is also a contract year for him.  Shelden Williams has played well for Boston, but his minutes will get cut when Big Baby gets back.  As a Duke fan, I can admit that we have never had a "great" player in the NBA, but quite a few "good" ones are playing this season.

Brand and Maggette are certainly useful... Deng averaged 14 and 6 last season and 15 and 6.5 for his career...

HIll is actually averaging 12.5, 5, and 2.5 over 2 seasons as a sun....

Rashaad McCants makes 14 for UNC – he's currently not on a roster. Would be in Houston, but he's out with an injury. Obviously this was released because of the old saying of Dook players not making it to the NBA. Probably has a wee bit to do with the fact Harrison Barnes visited Durham this past weekend.

How many useful Blue Devils are on NBA rosters? I can think of three, Boozer, Battier and Duhon. Anyone I'm missing?

Shelden and J.J aren't starts but they're still useful to any NBA team.
